How to make Mango Barfi

  • Step 1 Make mango paste

Add 1 cup chopped mangoes along with 1/2 cup milk to a blender. Blend to form a smooth paste.

  • Step 2 Cooking process

Take out the mango paste in a pan and keep it on medium heat. Add sugar and mix till it dissolves completely.

  • Step 3 Add coconut powder

Now add coconut powder and mix well. Cook for about 20 minutes and stir after every one minute to prevent it from sticking at the bottom. You need to cook the mixture till it holds shape and leaves all the sides of the pan.

  • Step 4 Let it set

Now let the mixture cool down a bit. Transfer to a mould lined with parchment paper. Spread it evenly with a thickness of one inch. Let it rest for about 30-40 minutes.

  • Step 5 Ready to be served

Once firm, take out the slab from the mould and chop into squares. Your Mango Barfi is now ready to be served.
