How to make Hara Bhara Kebab
Step 1 Cook the veggies
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Now add chopped onions and saute them for a few minutes. Add chopped beans and peas. Add salt as per taste, along with cumin powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, dry mango powder, garam masala, chaat masala and coriander leaves. Mix everything well and cook for a few minutes.
Step 2 Add spinach
Lastly, add spinach leaves and cover the lid. Let them cook for a few minutes. Mix well and let the mixture cool down a bit.
Step 3 Grind it
Add the cooked mixture to a blender and blend to form a smooth paste. Pour this paste into a bowl.
Step 4 Prepare the dough
Now to this paste, add mashed potatoes, besan, salt and black pepper powder. Mix well to prepare a dough.
Step 5 Make tikkis
Make small balls from the dough and flatten them a bit to give the shape of a tikki. Press one cashew in the middle of each tikki.
Step 6 Cook and serve
Now heat 2 tbsp oil on a non-stick tawa. Place the tikkis/kebabs on it. Cook from both sides until golden brown. Serve the hara bhara kebabs with some mint chutney and enjoy.
